The objective of this post is to figure out if it is better to buy gold from Goldmoney, or play California Gold scratcher lottery. If you think you know the outcome.... well you probably do.
Who can resist this fancy gold scratcher? These attractive black and gold colors make it almost irresistible.
With odds like these, what could possibly go wrong?
I donned my lucky Goldmoney t shirt and a coin to conduct this experiment.

Starting out I had high hopes of striking it rich.
After all, there was gold here:

I was off to an awesome start with one of my numbers matching the winning numbers!
I won $20!!!
Through my euphoria I flashed back to 5 minutes earlier:
A 33.33% loss in 5 minutes!
What to do next? Panic? Double down? It was then that I remember the whole point of this exercise. I quickly rallied, got my game face on, and executed my plan.
After funding my Goldmoney Holding with PayPal:
I used my winnings and selected my metal (Gold).
Picked a vault to store the gold. These vaults are both audited and the metal is insured and fully allocated.
Purchased metal.

Hmm, let me think of other terrible ways to get gold, do a vs refining old electronics, i've seen guys spend so much time dismantling stuff for minute pieces, plus it's so dangerous.

$30. Damn, the biggest we have in the UK is £10. There is a special £20 one at xmas but that's alot for a card. At least you got enough to play on with a $20 card :) Is that normal to win less than you paid for the card? If your gold is stored in vaults around the world, what's the benefit of that versus all nearest you locally?
Can you go to these vaults and pick up your gold? I read that you can have it shipped, but you only qualify if it's a really large amount.

Thank you for your great questions! Regarding the vault question.... its a personal preference really. Some people like to have their precious metals holding in different jurisdictions around the world because they feel it mitigates risk. To be honest I dont think it matters, all the vaults are insured....... There are ways to redeem your metal but most people dont use Goldmoney in that way. I have seen many people redeem some metal as a way of a personal audit when first starting as a client, that has been a fairly common practice......
