Alright Getting Out Last Night.

Was fairly quiet at the music pub last night. Relaxed, ate some, drank some beer. No one there seemed to want to play for the open mic so I was about to leave after awhile. Then when I was about to go an older man wanted to play something. Seen him play there before so thought I'd let him 'cause that's what he likes to do on these nights.

So worked the sound booth a bit and set him up. He played a few songs. Then while walking back and forth setting up and putting back instruments someone there requested I play something. A few people there have seen me perform something there before, so I decided to grant the request and play something for a bit. I was still unrehearsed and hadn't memorized a song yet. So I just improvised a couple songs on guitar. I've been practicing so even though I didn't have any songs I was more confident with the playing.

There is something wrong with the input on the acoustic electric guitar. It would crack, even when I switched patch cords. 'cause I was playing I wasn't able to mute the sound. So when I got up to play something there were these guys heckling me. I didn't pay attention to it and just started playing some random songs. I just made them up. It went alright. At the end the guys at the table were cheering for me. They probably expected for me to play a crappy cover or something.

After the fans that wanted me to play thanked me. Was surprised I didn't pre-write those songs. So was a good time. There is another open mic jam tonight too! So I can go at it again! I figured out how to adjust the electronic drum set there even further so I will be better equipped on using it for the jam night tonight. Luckily I won't have to work as much today so I can practice up more and perhaps write a song or 2, perhaps more on the electronic side.
