Scene 7 Int Day.

Inside a bar with a minimal crowd. Soft music was playing in the background.
Richard and Paul are having a drink and chatting.

Paul.- ...and how about her health? Is she going to be fine ..., I mean mentally?

Richard.- [Surprised] How did...who told you she is not fin mentally?

Paul.- [Realizes his mistake] Well errmm, just thinking she might b sick that way, I mean after the attack. Maybe she is not sick that way? I apologize, slip of tongue.

Richard.- [Relaxes] Oh, slip of tongue? Better be otherwise I will...

Paul.- [Whispers] She is here o

Richard.- [Turns sharply] Who is? Damn it. I shouldn't have come here.

Mercy.- Hello honey, [kisses Richard on the cheek] How are you doing with your barren wife? [chuckles]

Paul.- Uhm, [Stands up] I have to take my leave now Richard. See you around. [Richard nods]

Mercy.- [Rolls her eyes at Paul] Please do. What is it with you that makes you look terrible? You are neither smiling nor crying.

Richard.- Take your stinky hands off me. [pushes her hand away while she puts it back] I should be the one asking if you are well. Why are you here? How did you know I am here?

Mercy.- Come on darling. You don't look the yo guy I used to know. The same man that found rest in my bosom, while running away from a barren woman.

Richard.- [Shifts in his chair] Stop it. There is a time for everything and your time has expired.

Mercy.- How acidulous to speak. [Visibly upset] Thought you are a responsible man and don't forget I am carrying our child. You did propose to me or have you forgotten?

Richard.- That was a mistake and the pregnancy is a sham and you know it. [Shakes his head] I cannot believe this, your behavior is aberrant and you just piss me off.

Mercy.- Oh this is really classic Richard..., I can't believe you will say those words to me. But the earlier you come to terms with the understanding that you the father of this child..*[touches her tummy] the better for everyone, including your barren wife.

Richard.- Please spare me the grieve and do not mention my wife in this conversation. She is more woman than you will ever be.

Mercy.- ... more woman than I can ever be? Yet she couldn't give you this [touches her tummy] for 9 years.

Richard.- [Stands up angrily] Something is wrong with you I can see now. You better stop coming to me and take that shit you have inside you the the rightful owner. [Takes a gulp from his glass and drops it down] I should kill you with my bare hands.

Mercy froze on seeing the stare in his eyes and he smiled slightly and walks out of the bar leaving her shocked and the others surprised.
