The grave became the final bed for the deceased. There, the corpse will enter the natural phase of the barzah and wait for the day of judgment to arrive. No one knows, how the condition of the dead when it was there.
At certain times, families will usually visit the cemetery for a pilgrimage. This is done to send a prayer or just to clean the grave alone. But in the implementation of that activity people often do the wrong thing.
One of them is occupying or stepping over graves that are not belonging to his family. Apparently this is strictly prohibited by the Prophet. Even the Apostle said if the fires burning the skin are still better than occupying the grave. Want to know more?
Animate beings will surely die. It did not take long, these lifeless bodies had to be buried in their last bed in the cemetery. No more friends there. True friends leave, even the family does not want to accompany. When time has called, then a true friend lives a charity.
Based on the opinion of the Majority of Ulema, the appearance of heaven and theirs takes place in barzakh, and it is the proposition of the existence of the torture of the grave. For those who believe and be cautious throughout life, it will feel the pleasure of the grave. But if the opposite is done, then they feel the grave like in hell.
Lucky if that is perceived by thisit is the pleasure of the grave. Yet so his punishment for those who get punishment. They feel it day in night. As Allah explains in the Qur'an. How did the laknatullah, Pharaoh be tortured by God morning and evening.
"So God guarded them from their evil deeds, and Pharaoh and his people were surrounded by a terrible adzab. To them is revealed hell in the morning and evening, and on the Day of Judgment, (said to the angel), 'Enter Pharaoh and his people into a very hard doom.' "(Surat al-Mu'min [40]: 45 -46).
This may also be experienced by our fellow Muslims who have died. Then we easily come to the grave to occupy it or even step over it. Rasulullah SAW said that means:
"Do not sit on the grave and do not pray to him," (Narrated Muslim).
The Messenger of Allah also said, "If one of you sits on fire, then the fire burns his clothes and his skin, it is better for him than to sit on the grave," (Narrated by Muslim).
Based on the above hadith, the majority of scholars claim that the law sitting on the grave is makruh. This action is regarded as an attitude of disrespect to the corpse. Meanwhile Imam Abu Zakariya Muhyiddin Yahya Ibnu Syaraf Al-Nawawi asserted that not only sitting on the grave of the Muslim cemetery that was permitted makruh as well as stepping on it except because of the urgent need (wishes).
For example, because it is impossible to reach the grave in the course of pilgrimage except when passing through and stepping on another grave, then the law is possible (not makruh) as well as sitting on the cemetery that the corpse predicted in the grave has been destroyed and no more, Then the law sits on such a grave is (can not get it).
Imam Nawawi also states that a burial overnight is a makruh because it (buried overnight) can cause misery. Imam Syihabuddin Ahmad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Salamah Al-Qulyubi also added that the law of defecation and urination on the grave of the Muslims was illegal.
We never know what's going on in the corpse of the body we occupy or run. We only know, that the grave is like a home, being a dead body resting. Wallahu a'lam bis shawab.
