The Old-Age Home - Part 3

Don't say like that Pankaj she has given me the same love as my own grandmother. I was four years old when she came to our house. Mom was busy on her job. When I used to return to home from school, I used to depressed after not getting my own beside me. I didn't want to eat anything. Then my grandmother used to give me food to feed me. She used to play carom with me and sometimes used to tell me stories. She used to feed me by making different types of my choice. Slowly she became my friend.

Until I did not tell her everything about my day at school, I didn't feel relaxed. She also listened to my concerns with full interest and gave proper advice when needed, and who told you that he did not intimidate me. A few days ago, he freed my habit of idiocy by saying that our parents earn money and do hard work. She said that I should respect the hard-earned money. I can not even imagine my life without grandma. My parents also love her very much.

She became very sad after listening Aarab's words. Every word from her son was destroying her soul. The women who sacrificed ten years of her life to take care of the home. Who took care of her son more than herself. She took care of her house, then she was able to do her job in peace. Just as a grandmother an Aunt has fulfilled the task, and what she is going to get in return.

The Aunt must be relaxed because now she is in the protection a family. Everybody takes part in her happiness and misery. But now she is snatching the happiness of the family. Again, they are pushing her towards the same unsafe blackout future. Even after being a child, Aarav didn't forget her love and she forgot her goodness even after being an adult.

She came to remembrance about the incident happened a few years ago. She and Ravi left Aarav and gave the responsibility to the Aunt. She used to busy in office, friends, and parties. And that time Aunt warned, "Aarav is growing up now. He needs you with him. These expensive toys cannot give him the happiness, which can be given by you."

And she had got it, but now ... now she is going to repeat the same mistake once again. She was just thinking about her future but she forgot that her decision can affect her son very badly. What education will he get? He will get a lesson that parents become a burden when they become old. What if tomorrow he started to feel his parents as a burden? Her whole body started to shake when she thought about that.

The seeds of the sacraments which are being planted today will be the sour fruit she will taste tomorrow. Her Aunt was completely devoted to her family but she could accept her with her heart. If she ever loved her Aunt then she wouldn't have even thought about sending her back. She remembered the things she did for her Aunt when she was in the hospital but she forgot about her Aunt's service which she did every day ... she did not remember all these things. Can she pay for that caring?

In her childhood, she used to go to Rishikesh with her parents. She used to read the inscription while roaming in Parmarth Niketan. The inscription was, "Do not ever cut the old tree planted in the courtyard. Even if she does not give you fruit, she will give her shadow." She started to cry when she thought about this.

These moments of self-analysis stopped her wandering steps. She awakened her dormant conscience. The storm arising in her mind was now calm.

She came inside the house and saw Aunt's was watching television being engaged in knitting Aarav's sweater. Her mind itself thanked God, who stopped her from making such a big mistake. She was very relaxed, and she got busy preparing for a new home.
