Elon Musk: Cunningly Deceptive or Misunderstood?

in story •  3 years ago

bandicam 2022-06-06 13-10-44-893.jpgFrom the odd investment strategies, he used to grab a hold of Twitter.

To the wacky online Twitter indirect battle, he engaged in with Congresswoman AOC, or Microsoft's CEO Bill Gates was well; different and unexpected.

These were a few of the questionable oddball antics portrayed by none other than the enigmatic Elon Musk.

Even more mind-bending antics where he pushed back from acquiring Twitter, because of the "X" number of fake accounts on the platform.

Although, one would think he would simply hire top notch webmasters to eradicate the fake accounts.

After all, he has the financial capability to do as such, so why doesn't he?

From one aspect, he did wager a huge amount of his financial worth going after Twitter.

He also placed a lot of investors' Tesla financial investments in jeopardy making such a risky move.

So, what are these ideas and risky investments of Musk's are to prove?

Is there something bigger behind it?

Is it simply something he does because he can?

Honestly, it seems like he's pushing some type of Elon Musk Movement!

Question is…

Is it deceptive?

Or is he vastly misunderstood?

Now that's something worth finding out about!

Is Musk A Master Deceiver or an Innovator?

elon on magazine cover.jpgHe became head of Tesla since the late 2000s, and around that time things were questionable about the franchise's progress.

And this was a time where Musk stepped into position as CEO, a spot many entrepreneurs would kill to be in!

How he fell into that position was after Tesla founders (CEO) Martin Eberhard and (CFO) Marc Tarpenning left the company.

Their intention was to make (then Tesla Motors) one of the top automotive brands on the market.

And to some extent it claimed that title, even so, it brought the company to a standstill at that point.

The reason why was because the product they produced was an electric car, and not the traditional gas-powered vehicle.

That meant the product would crash and burn if Tesla Motors were to mass produce and attempt to sell electric cars.

And why you say?

Because the public knew that gas powered vehicles were already proven to work!

You have to keep in mind that this was back in 2008 (yeah, I know around the time of the housing market crash!)

These were financially tight times and showcasing a FULLY electric car no doubt drew enormous levels of uncertainty.

Car experts had to be thinking things like...

"Well, how will I be able to charge it up while I'm on the go?"

Or.

"Will there be any added level of restrictions when driving a FULLY powered electric car?"

Even.

"Can Tesla Motors guarantee that I won't be shocked to death while driving in a severe thunderstorm?"

Surely concerns indeed came up in the company meetings.

See, people aren't stupid.

You will have those Bob Dingles or Kelly Sues that will ask such questions; that's a guaranteed fact Buddy!

The other thing that became crystal clear, was the lack of experience both Eberhard and Tarpenning had possessed.

So, it wasn't about "Automotive Know How" as much as it was having the ability to manage the costs and production.

That was their weakest point, and that later led to Eberhard and Tarpenning' departure from Tesla Motors.

Then shortly after, Musk comes in as CEO, and guts out most of the production process steps which led to Tesla's rise!

At that point, the company was making waves and became a well-known automotive competitor in the 2010s.

The reason why the company started to accelerate, was because Musk stepped in to reinvent Tesla Motors.

So, it's unfair to say he's deceptive in his actions when making cut-throat decisions.

Every businessman or woman knows that's the biggest part of the negotiations to improve any product or brand!

It's all about cutting expenses and liabilities, to selling a beneficial product to consumers and turning profits.

All In One Stroke!

And from the gained profits, is the wise decision to reinvest in the company and build it bigger and better!

Everything ran smoothly for Tesla from that point forth.

Well, that was until Musk started making some rather oddball decisions!

Decisions made by Musk, that now have many wondering...

"What in the h**l is going with this guy!"

Of all the silly nonsensical antics he's pulled off so far; was the decision to overtake Twitter.

This is what many don't understand about Musk, is why he's now making radical decisions at the drop of a hat!

Not too innovative sounding to say the least.

But what is one to think of the cornball arguments and childish rants he's chosen to engage in with others?

Musk's Quirky Behavior is so Misunderstood!

bandicam 2022-06-06 00-54-34-336.jpgSo, you have this multi-billion-dollar innovator that restructured Tesla from top to bottom.

He reinvented the entire franchise, and what does he do with it later down the line?

He pulls all of his investments out of his brand and plugs it into Twitter!

And it's here where many people are REALLY baffled.

The more bizarre thing about the Twitter takeover attempt, is that it's now on the verge of falling flat on its face.

WHY!!

Will immediately came to the minds of many would-be Musk enthusiasts.

Although, the answer for putting the brakes on the deal was his claim that Twitter had WAY too many fake accounts to remove from the platform.

That baffled me...

Because I'm thinking why not hire employees to deal with the Twitter cleanup process?

I'm sure a team of webmasters and moderators can solve the problem lickety-split!

And the end result would be a revamped social platform MINUS the enforced censorship policies tethered to it.

Now the most noticeable aspect is how Musk thinks.

I mean, he gets on Twitter responding to political gibberish, which seems like a waste of his expertise.

Or he's gotten into nonsensical spats with entrepreneurs like Bill Gates on pointless issues that go nowhere.

In the situation with Alexandria Cortez, he believed she was referencing him in a Twitter tweeted post.

Cortez claimed she was directing a tweeted message at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

And even if she was targeting him (Musk), I don't see why he'd even bother to respond.

That went double for the fact that he replied rather oddly to the tweet she posted.

Where he told her to stop hitting on him!

She was probably like...

"W__, did he just say!?"

To me it's a rather odd response he chose to dish out to her.

If it was a response directed at me, I wouldn't even waste my time on the matter!

Because it's a wasteful statement that should be left back in high school.

LOL.

Then was the back-and-forth game of "tag your it" as Musk drummed up damaging claims against Bill Gates on climate change matters.

The prime reason there was Musk's statement pointing out a “half-billion dollar” bet placed against Tesla on Gates' behalf.

So, Musk went way above and beyond to point out Gates wasn't FULLY supportive of Climate Change.

Again, to me that sounds like a waste of valuable brain power.

It's comparative to playing an Atari 2600 back and forth pointless game of pong is all that noise was.

There were a few other off the wall weird antics he managed to work his way into.

The list below says it all...

  • He managed to get himself plugged smack dab in the middle of Johnny Depp's and Amber Heard's public trial statements (much of which had to do with Depp’s claims that Heard messed around with Musk doing their relationship).
  • He mentioned why the DOJ (Department of Justice) hasn't leaked Jeffrey Epstein's client list.
  • He blurted out comments regarding how stupid people were for worrying about COVID-19.
  • Predicting on March 19, 2020, that the U.S. was going to have > “close to zero new cases” by the end of April
  • Questioning the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines, and baselessly asserting that there were > “quite a few negative reactions” to getting a second shot
  • Saying the U.S. government shouldn‘t provide subsidies to companies after receiving billions in subsidies from the U.S. Government.
  • Using Twitter to engage in securities fraud.
  • Tweeting > “Pronouns suck.”
  • Tweeting misogynistic things at Senator Elizabeth Warren because she said he should pay more in taxes.
  • Writing to Bernie Sanders, who also thinks the richest man in the world should pay more in taxes > “I keep forgetting that you’re still alive.”
  • Tweeting dumb, sexist jokes.
  • Tweeting a photo of Bill Gates and writing > “in case u need to lose a boner fast.”
  • Tweeting in 2018 that Tesla factory workers could lose their stock options if they unionized.
  • Baselessly accusing a British cave diver instrumental in rescuing a trapped football team of being a > “pedo guy”  because he, like others, said Musk’s idea to send in a submarine wouldn’t work.

While off-line, and more consequentially:

  • Reopening a Tesla factory in violation of public health orders, where 450 cases were subsequently recorded.
  • Running a company (Tesla) that was ordered to pay nearly $137 million to a former Black employee who said the company ignored repeated complaints that he was called the N-word and that his colleagues > “Had drawn swastikas and scratched a racial epithet in a bathroom stall and left drawings of derogatory caricatures of Black children around the factory.”
  • In a message to Tesla employees, a human resources executive downplayed the man’s allegations, noting he was a contractor, not a full-time staffer, and that other witnesses had said that while they heard racial slurs, they were used in a > “friendly” manner. The H.R. Executive added that the company was > “not perfect” at the time of the incidents, and “is still not perfect,” but has “come a long way.”
  • Running a company (Tesla), where a female worker said sexual harassment was > “rampant,” alleging > “nightmarish conditions” and a factory that > “more resembles a crude, archaic construction site or frat house than a cutting-edge company in the heart of the progressive San Francisco Bay area.” > “The company did not respond to multiple requests for comment from The Washington Post, which noted Tesla > “does not typically respond to press inquiries.”
  • Running a company (Tesla) that employees have called a > “modern-day sweatshop” (In response, Tesla said it abided by California laws.”
  • Attempting to > “destroy a Tesla whistleblower.”
  • Reportedly exploding at > “executives and lower-ranking workers” alike, and allegedly firing people who disagreed with him (Musk has denied allegations that he goes on firing sprees).
  • Announcing Tesla’s headquarters would move to Texas one month after the state effectively banned all abortions.
  • Paying a private investigator $50,000 to dig up dirt on the cave diver he called “pedo guy.”

Yeah, those are some pretty iffy statements, yet I’m the type that doesn't read into each and every single statement.

And the reason is because some of those statements may very well be “BS” (NOT SAYING ALL), but you have to know that controversy can sometimes be misleading.

Nevertheless, Musk is an accomplished entrepreneur, after all, he did start-up company Space X and has also managed the Hyperloop Project that's currently ongoing.

Hopefully some of the things stated in the list isn’t who he really is behind closed doors.

But hey, the majority of the mega rich are at times said to be “Out There” (in the mental sense).

So, in the case of Elon Musk…

Is he deceptive?

Um… It’s a possibility.

It’s not like any of the wealthy celebrities, CEOs, lawyers and judges, and God knows the political figureheads are all Windex squeaky clean polished right?

YEAH, OK!

Crooked Bastards!

When it comes to Musk being misunderstood.

WELL, THAT’S ONE H**L OF AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

One thing’s accurately true about the man.

Which is how ridiculously freaking’ rich he is!

I guess that has to count for something…
