A few days ago I was lucky enough to find a post that our friend @ mervancewalton published, where he invites us to participate in a new challenge, the slogan is to publish a memory or a memory that makes us feel good and was meaningful in our lives.

This post is the continuation of my story presented in advance, in which end remembering the good times lived working on the farm.

The separation of my parents and the bad situation of the country forced us to move to a very humble neighborhood outside the Corrientes suburbs, I had a hard time adapting, however, once I was done, living there, was living a beautiful adventure every day.

We woke up very early, before sunrise, we had to look for fresh milk in Don Godoy's dairy, which my mother used to make delicious coffee with milk, the milk recently milked has a very particular flavor, it is much thicker than the milk that we used to consume in the city, this milk has many more cream than the traditional milks bought in supermarkets, it is not even necessary to boil to obtain.

We bought a pitcher of milk a day, this gave us a lot of fresh cream, we prepared butter to spread the cakes grills that we accompanied to our breakfast, with the cream of the boiled milk my mother prepared homemade cream for our dessert or base of the home-made pastas.

The first rays of the sun emerged from the root of the sugarcane plant, a beautiful panorama to see, the cane field was a very important product in our economy, we could not only sweeten our food, it was also a way to have cash with its sale, which allowed us to compare other products that we did not produce in my home.

The rays slowly open the path between the reeds, minute by minute the shadows disappear, giving rise to the magical light that the sun produces, when the light reaches the paradise floor, it was the signal that we expected to start working on the ranch.

What strange strange power? Those who owned our grandfather! That just by looking at the shadows, they could predict the time, when the shadow arrived in paradise, the clock marked 6:00 am in the morning, a signal that we hoped to take all the tools that were used to till the earth.

The rake, the pick, the tip shovel, the fork and the machete could not miss to start our work, another indispensable item, was the penguin loaded with lemonade, fundamental for our hydration, the work of the farm is very heavy, everything for a child in the city, the energies were exhausted, it was vital in the middle of the morning to replenish energy through the delicious cakes grills, the one that my mother prepared with great affection.

The work of the farm was not very complicated, as long as he respected the work process, if he did not do it he would waste a lot of time and sometimes he had to do it twice, the grandmother was a true governess in these matters, she taught us in great detail the beginning of work.

The first to start the task was the bearer of the beak, this tool was vital to uproot the large grasses, then followed by the one who had the barbecue, very important to cut all the weeds at ground level, then it was the turn of the had the large tooth rake, this tool was vital to remove all the cut weeds, then continued the one that handled the tip shovel, this was going around the earth, vital so that when planting the roots of the plants are developed no problem and finally the person with the second rake followed, vital for the land to be free of pasture and impurity.

When our body did not let see the shadow on the ground, it was the expected signal, time to stop working, the clock read twelve noon, when my mother was lunch, after washing our hands and refresh our body with the fresh water from the cistern, we gathered at the table ready to eat the delicious homemade ravioli with meat of breast that I prepare.

The work process carried out in the farm was vital to receive the best fruits that our mother earth gave us, the sweat of the brow makes us value resources more and care for it, all seasons were planted as necessary to consume at home and a rest to generate money for the maintenance of the ranch, never abuza of what I could give you the pacha mama, is the first thing you learn to till the farm.

After lunch you listen to the expected whistle, that signal that Uncle Juan gives you inviting you to hunt wild ducks. But that is another story.

As I said the separation of my parents was very traumatic, I missed everything I had known before, however, when I got used to it, now, a.

What I learned in the farm did not change it for nothing!

That's how my love for nature and all the resources it gives us was born.

I hope you have enjoyed these memories, be careful, there are many more to come!
