⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵. . . Ship's Log: 03 of Januar, 1719
[Last time...]
Seaman- Ordinary Seamen Olfeblog and Knowledgement raced to the forecastle to tighten the jib lines as Fisky yelled out more commands to the main deck crew.
The big ship heaved to starboard as the wind filled all her sails and carried her swiftly towards the western shores of Comoros!

[On the Grand Bank schooner…]
“Bring her around hard to starboard!” Pirate Captain Callum yelled, “I want to may it into that bay before Slane lays eyes on us!”
“Aye Sir!” First Mate Dax replied as he maneuvered the vessel into the opening of the bay of Badjanani and then south around the peninsula, “Do you think he’s spotted us Sir?!”
“He may have. I’m hoping not. But spotted us or not, the Silverton cannot enter the bay! She draws too much water and the bay is shallow!” Callum yelled as he eyed the big frigate with his long scope.
Commander Galligan, Boy Tipper and six other crew skillfully worked the sails to bring the big schooner into the center of the bay, well out of sight of the entrance.
[Back on the Silverton…]
“Yo! Keptin! Th' Grand Bank has entered th' Bay of Badjanani an' slipped oot of sight!" Seaman- Able Seaman Tuna yelled from the nest.
“Good eye Tuna!” The Captain answered as he turned to Cockpit Mate- Midshipman’s Mate Fisky, “There's nothin' Ahh like better than catchin' a rat in a cage!"
“Aye! an' a big one at that!" Officer Fisky replied with a smile.
Seaman- Ordinary Seamen Evsup, Olfeblog and Knowledgement were standing on the forecastle gazing across the sea at the village of Badjanani in the distance.
“Th' Grand bank has cut inland!" Evsup said as he carefully watched the coast.
“Aye, she's disappeared!" Knowledgement replied.
“Do ye think th' rumors are true? Is Commander Galligan alive an' prisoner on 'att boat with Boy Tipper?!" Olfeblog asked excitedly.
“Ahh don’t knows. Ahh ne'er met th' Commander myself. But Ahh do hope th' loon is alright!" Evsup said solemnly.
“Th' Keptin hasn’t opened th' gun doors. He must believe they’re on 'att vessel…" Knowledgement reasoned.
“So what will he do? We cannot enter th' shallaw waters of th' bay..." Evsup continued.
“A shore raid...muskets an' swords mates!" Olfeblog said with a serious tone.
“Bloody hell…someones could get killed!” Knowledgement muttered uncomfortably, “Ahh’ll pray it does not come to ‘att!”
“Aye, an' me too!” Evsup agreed.
[Back on the Grand Bank…]
The big schooner slid deep into the shallow waters of the south end of the bay before the Captain called for the anchor to be dropped. Along the shore, natives were gathering and clamoring about the sight of the big schooner entering their humble cove.
“There's a lot of natives gatherin' Sir..." Dax said nervously as he watched the shore.
“Let them gather! If any shove a craft in the water…shoot ‘em dead!” Callum barked as he stepped down off the small bridge and onto the main deck, “Arm your muskets men! I don’t want any natives within a hundred yards of our vessel!”
“Aye Sir!” “Aye, aye!” “Aye!” The crew all replied, including Galligan.
Tipper looked up at him as he stood holding the main boom line. He was taking orders with all the rest of them! He then tugged on Galligan’s pant leg to get his attention.
“Commander! Commander Sairrr!” Tipper said with urgency.
Galligan looked down at him…”Why do you keep callin’ me Commander Lad?”
Tipper shook his head in frustration, “Galligan, ye cannot follow these orders! Thes Keptin is not yer real Keptin! Shootin’ th’ naties is wrong!”
Galligan listened carefully, but he looked confused…
“Ur ye sayin' Ahh shoods disobey a direct order from mah Keptin?!"
Tipper grabbed his arm and pulled him closer…”He’s not yer Keptin!”
Galligan shook off his hold as he primed his musket and looked away. His mind was obviously in a turmoil. It was then that one of the other crewman sounded off…
“Sir! A canoe is shovin’ off from the south shore!”
“One hundred yards men! And not a focking inch closer!” Callum’s voice boomed from the main deck.

Captain, if there’s to be a rescue party I request your permission to lead that party. I owe much to the good Commander and if there’s even the slightest chance it is really him I will risk my life to bring him and Tipper back. You recall that I’ve been on the Grand Bank as well, sir. I am familiar with the ship as prisoner and as I made my escape. Furthermore, I despise that rat Callum as you do and I owe him retribution for his hanious acts.
