Torundel was tired of shit! His wife had finally moved into the manor house of her lover, Count B, but she still came and prepared supper for him. Poor Torundel. He looked down at the hamma seed and chuck breasts in a thick, white sauce and started to eat. He was hungry after all. Hadn't eaten since morning.
"You wont believe what B bought me!" his wife chattered.
"I believe you," he said with his mouth full of hamma.
"A cup! But not an ordinary cup! A cup made for an empress, thousands of years ago! I think... I think it was called... Houngrump!" Her face radiated the deepest concentration trying to pronounce the difficult word.
"Hungrump dynasty. 3466 to 3606," Torundel muttered while trying to avoid spilling white gravy on his purple dress. "An extraordinary period in human history. Not one of the five Emperors was a bad ruler! Sadly Numsegodt III had his head cut off by barbarians and then everything was back to its normal, shitty self with chaos and corruption."
"Count B is simply such a lovely darling! He treats me like I was a real lady, and I only have to give him access to my other hole once a day!"
Torundel was tired of shit!
This amazing story is written by me! and will be continued!
Lol, we all are, but this is not an ordinary shit-post.
Anyway, I can't help imagining the above story in comic form, with frames and balloons.

No, not an ordinary shit-post at all. I suppose it was also more like an exploring-the-ghost-town kind of post. I just wanted to see what happened if I wrote something here and then it became a small story... I ended double posting it to Hive actually.
But at least you are still here and Steevc also haven't really left yet either. So not completely a ghost town. I also wrote a comment to a guy who was trying to establish a downvote-patrol to keep vote buying and plagiarism in check, but he hasn't answered. A strange post-apocalyptical situation.
EDIT: just saw you comment on Hive. I am not trying to destroy this place, and revenge isn't really my cup of tea. But it is only few people who have stayed here. Do you know which good profiles that has chosen Steem over hive and are still posting here? It sort of interests me.

The bad thing is that many (most?) of the people I used to follow have moved to the other stage. Many of them had already stopped posting anyway.
The good thing is that many of the people I was fed up with, have also moved to the other stage; SO MUCH high-rewarded CLUTTER is gone. Maybe, the reward pool will be better distributed now.
I am finding new artists to follow here. I've never seen this chain as a social media; rather, as a curation place of great art & hidden gems.

Haha, yes. Before the downvote fork I was about to leave completely - then people put some effort into it again and I posted again. The only thing keeping me here is the artists - the monetary aspect is something I will evaluate when my tax complaint is returned. All the power struggle between investor fortune hunters is completely irrelevant to me.
I agree. The social media I am using is federated, but there aren't that many artists there. The money aspect has brought some interesting people as creatives always need money. I am just following that part of the network and it was never in any of those people's interest that it should break. That was mainly a feud in the Steem aristocracy. Steem was originally built on content and it is the only thing that keep this place afloat. But none of the architects realize this. They stumbled upon the idea and still do not see it. The result is that the curation part doesn't work very well. But not really anything new there...

I also decided to stay and i would not exactly call it a post apocalyptic stituation but more like an empty space to build and create sth new. I stopped my activities at hive, even though there users there who i like, because i cannot stand seeing all these people who defended our platform against abuse becoming abusers themselves. Without community rules we are free to do as we please and our real character comes out. So sad to see this behaviour...

Yes, I just saw (that you also stayed).
Personally I gave up on the steem system long time ago (which of course includes Hive). There's something wrong with the approach. Nothing good comes from letting the most wealthy decide everything. But in a way it had many good things and I am just trying to keep in contact with people I meet here, which is much harder when the place is divided.
As for the moral of people... I don't know. Justin Sun taking over is really a very bad turn I think, and now we have seen that having a personal code does not prevent the system from freezing or stealing our assets. They all demonstrated that. Not much is left on the system side of things.

Yes i understand what you mean. I did not gave up steem and even though i stopped posting i did my best daily to take part at all curation groups to improve the so called Proof of Brain system. I like the process and i enjoyed it even in my worst of times. There is a system and there are also the people. If people cultivate an ecosystem that rewards users and not posts the system is a failure. if we stick to a system that rewards valuable posts we might succeed.
I have a lot to say about the series of events known as the Justine Sun hostile take over but i would rather keep it for myself.

The human part - the community that is rewarding quality is of course great. I have seen that in the most corrupt and politically defunct places.
But when any old tosser can buy himself a position of power that is above these efforts it is a flaw... and it can't be repaired by good efforts... at least if the goal really was proof of work. Justin Sun is just a late example of this. It existed all along.
I have already read both pros and cons on the Justin Sun case and it seems that what it all sums up to is that the system can be compromised bigtime, but I would like to hear your version. Why hold it to yourself if you have a lot to say? Hopefully not because of the Steem/Hive flaws that I am mentioning above.

Wasn't directed at you, because you can't shitpost! I've seen some hive-crusaders openly shitposting and declaring they are "milking the cow" & "raping the reward pool" -- something that they were yelling against in ye olde dayes.
Well, @georgeboya is still here and actively participating in the new curation effort. @cryplectibles @arseniclullaby and @steemchiller (author of the best steem-tool ever). And some new ones like @abrahmatan @zimernyc @elias15g @halzart

milking the cow - well...
Thanks! @arseniclullaby seems to be double posting. I miss @cryplectibles on Hive. @georgeboya too. I was following @elias15g but will check out the others...

Yeah, I'm posting here and hive because frankly I'm confused as to how the two are connected or not connected. It's some vague murky mess of who sees what. I spent years here on steemit building a following, I'm not just to jump ship and leave all that on the table because some whales got butt hurt over a larger whale taking over.

Somehow I think some form of democracy is needed, but how that is done...!?

Always a 100% upvote for comment on my Steem blog! And yes, it was not the shitpost I had imagined...
