¡Hola!

Hello! how are you?. Today I am going to share a book that I read recently its title is Mascaras written by Amy Harmon, the truth is that I was pleasantly surprised with this book in particular, really when I read the review I expected a common and repetitive plot, but in reality I I found a really beautiful story with great messages.

Summary

Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was thirteen. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.

Making Faces is the story of a small town where five young men go off to war, and only one comes back. It is the story of loss. Collective loss, individual loss, loss of beauty, loss of life, loss of identity. It is the tale of one girl's love for a broken boy, and a wounded warrior's love for an unremarkable girl. This is a story of friendship that overcomes heartache, heroism that defies the common definitions, and a modern tale of Beauty and the Beast where we discover that there is little beauty and a little beast in all of us.

Review

This story really loved me, I loved each of its characters, our protagonist (Fern Taylor) is a girl with a golden heart, has a very loving and understanding personality but is also a very wise person in her own way, she is a small miracle for her parents, but not only for them but also for the people around her. This story leaves us the message that we must learn to love people for what they are not for what they look like, as well as why a person is beautiful on the outside does not mean that it is beautiful inside. I sincerely hope that you take the time to read it because it is one of those stories that is worth reading even once on the road, I recommend them a lot.
