Sinopsis

English

Hello! How are my dear friends of steemit ?, today I will share with you a review of the book Turtles All the Way Down by John Green, so here we go.

Summary

Sixteen-year-old Aza never intended to pursue the mystery of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there’s a hundred-thousand-dollar reward at stake and her Best and Most Fearless Friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Russell Pickett’s son, Davis.

Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.

Review

This story written by John Green is based mainly on the life of Aza, she is a girl who suffers from a mental illness which means that sometimes she can not control her thoughts or where they are headed and this kind of thoughts take her to take actions against herself. This book has that special feature where it opens a world to the thoughts of this girl, a world of thoughts that we as "normal" people would never think about.

—“True terror isn’t being scared; it’s not having a choice on the matter.”
― John Green, Turtles All the Way Down

To all this is added a mystery to solve, a friend infatuated with this mystery and a boy who was a friend in the past of Aza. I really liked this story because of the reflections that it leaves, apart we can also find many literary quotes within this reading that gives an extra point to the story.

“I was beginning to learn that your life is a story told about you, not one that you tell.”
― John Green, Turtles All the Way Down
