A Tale by my GrandMother

in story •  7 years ago

In a little village of Yakova, it was a great animal community where the Elephant was a king. There was a great famine in the land and everyone had to look for a means to survive, it got so bad that people started to eat raw grass and things were getting worse by the day.

Mr Tortoise left the village in search of a greener pasture, he got a job that he started doing although it was really difficult because he had to lift heavy loads on his back and carry it over a long distance . It was really stressful for him but he had no other option because he needed to survive, he was getting paid and he got free food as there was abundance of food in the village .

Mr Tortoise thought it wise to invite some of his friends over to work with him so that they could save enough money to help their village, he invited them over and they started working, with time they saved enough that could start something good for their community.

They took enough food for the people at home and they started building things with the money they had gathered, they employed themselves and kept working hard to prevent re-occurrence of famine again.
The king was so happy at their great team work and lovely spirit for the community, he gave them chieftain title and the village became happy and rich once again.

Really interesting story. I thought Mr.tortoise's friends were going to betray him by doing something hurtful to him. You kept me in suspense through out. If it were a movie, it will be one that the protagonist dies with the antagonist

yes, I wanted the story to teach the values of team work. Thanks for stopping by
