The Volkswagen Group plans to build its 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine in India. Skoda CEO Bernhard Maier has told the media that the 3-cylinder turbocharged unit will be localised, while the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine will be discontinued once BS-VI emission norms come into force in April 2020.
