a poem i wrote on my birthday last year watching the sunrise

Beautiful Life

I look around, the world in flames

War on life in so many ways

This madness left us speechless for far too long

But the sun is rising, paralysis gone

Reality catching up, powerful strength

Refugees knocking down our comfort zone´s fence

Fundamentally challenging numbness and inaction

Power of life slowly gaining traction

From Illness to wellness is from I to We

I am raising my voice not just for me

So open your ears and carefully listen

Is there one person left who believes in this system?

Of lies, war, violence and exploitation?

Madness, madness! Life is a joyful sensation!

But How can we work towards something that noone sees

A forest is more than the sum of its trees

—Is there even an image of this planet in peace?—

Yes there is, I see it, and I am trying to live it

And with every day it´s becoming more vivid

Every day that I spend around nature and people who refuse

To participate in destruction and global abuse

Who don´t join the blaming, fighting, distraction

Reclaiming sovereignty and start to take action

Becoming aware of sane solutions

Trusting each other and not institutions

This path seems impossible, scary or strange

When you observe it from our broken society´s cage

Of course it does. And it is. And it must be because

The way that we know and is comfy is what brought us these wars.

I will try to bear witness of the new earth unfolding

As much as I can with my camera rolling

One struggle stick together, the bare essential

Time has come to unfold our true potential!
