There was a story of a king that controls a small and noble village not in far range to a very thick forest. He always strolls down the forest to have a nice time and for the cool lovely breeze that always blow around there.
The king has many servants that he always sent on errands for himself, among these servants there is a particular one named Kabod, that always says “God is Great” in everything he does. On a fateful day, the king sent for Kabod to send him to a nearby village to deliver a message, but unfortunately he gave Kabod a scroll different from the scroll he intended to give him. The scroll he gave him entails a different message that would really mess everything up for the servant but neither the king nor the servant knew it was a different scroll. Kabod went there and got messed up badly to the extent of not being able to say anything went he got back to the palace wounded, but the only thing he said was “God is Great” and didn’t say anything else. The king was very sorry for him.
The next day, the king went as usual near the forest to enjoy himself, as he was with his guards enjoying himself, a jaguar jumped out of the forest and chop off one of the king’s toes, it was a pitiful moment for the king when he got home and Kabod saw it, he said “My lord, God is Great”. The king was so pissed off and surprised at what he said, and then he ordered his guards to put him in the dungeon, after the king’s order, Kabod said “God is Great”.
While Kabod was still in the dungeon, the king went out as usual but this time almost with all his guards and best warriors to guard him. When they got there, they were ambushed by a group of kidnappers but basically they are to be called adult - nappers because the king was not a kid. The group napped the king for ritual, when they got to their base and their leader checked the king out, he noticed the king is not complete because one of his toes is missing and the sacrifice won’t be accepted, so they need to release the king and drop him back to where he was taken. He was so happy and when he got back to the palace, he ordered Kabod to be released immediately, knowing full well that what the servant said the other day was very right, likewise Kabod the king also said “God is Great” even louder than the servant himself.
If the king’s toe wasn’t chopped off by the jaguar then the king would have been a dead meat for the sacrifice that very day. So in all situations we should always learn to give all the thanks, honor and glory to the All Mighty God Our Creator who had loved us and will still continue to.
