THE CHAMBER
Steve had just left the therapist's office. Three weeks ago he had been fired from his construction job for getting in a fight for the third time, and he was told that he had to get therapy.
Dr. Frost, his therapist, had just diagnosed Steve as a sociopath. Dr. Frost seemed like a well meaning person, but in Steve’s state of mind, he knew that, as a therapist, Dr. Frost could take away his freedom by putting him in a mental institution. He was a threat to Steve’s existence.
Ever since childhood Steve had only one way to deal with threats; to torture and eliminate them. It hadn’t been the first time he tortured and eliminated someone. Steve had a torture chamber in his basement.
As he left the psychiatrist's office after his 3rd visit Steve heard Dr. Frost on the phone. Dr. Frost was concerned because he thought Steve was dangerous. Steve assumed that he was calling the police and he now knew that he would be caught no matter what. His twisted mind reasoned that there was no reason to wait to dispose of Dr. Frost so he went home and got his torture chamber ready for his next victim. He then returned to the office at the end of Dr. Frost’s business hours. Steve felt skittish and jumpy, but he knew that he didn’t have any other choice but to do what he had always done so he had to concentrate his mind.
As Dr. Frost was walking into the parking lot Steve tased him, put him in his car and took him to his torture chamber where he was about to take all his anger and other horrible emotions out on him. As he was on his way, he kept hearing a high pitched ringing noise coming from the back seat where Dr. Frost was tied up.
Steve brought Dr. Frost into the torture chamber. He started by covering him in pure gasoline. He lit him on fire and immediately dipped him in water and kept him under until just before he started to drown. He did this multiple times. He then dipped his feet in boiling oil in a way that caused the most pain with the least amount of physical damage. Then he ground off all his toenails and connected him to a cross. Steve lit the cross on fire, turned it upside down and dipped it in water. He lit the cross on fire again and dipped him again in water. Steve then attached the charred crucifix to the wall and connected the machine that threw tomahawks. The tomahawks flew near his nearly dead body but each one barely missed him.
All of a sudden the door was busted open and the head of the Police Swat Team burst in and stood face to face with Steve. Steve looked at the guy and he knew it was over. He was caught and he would have to live the rest of his life in prison for what he had done. His mind flashed back to all the people he had killed because they had threatened him. He looked back and saw how much worse off he was now because of it. The head of the Swat Team said to the officer next to him, “It was a good thing we had that tracking device on Dr. Frost so that we could follow him here.” Steve dropped to his knees as the sound of the ambulance’s sirens rang in his ears.
