The shadow of the pharaoh (Original Poem)

in story •  8 years ago

Shadow of the pharaoh on the wall,
The pieces of emotion in your bag,
Smell of summer on my mind.
Jasmine oil on the sheets with
Taste of wine on the tip of my tongue.

My fingers swim into your body.
My shoulders are covered in tears.
My mind is on a different cloud.
Gentle music and the wax,
The smell of your bitten neck.

The memories we trying to forget,
The strong and beautiful emotion,
With creamy blue colors around the room.
Thousands of lives trapped in plastic.
You give me what I want.
Trying to build the perfect moment.

I’m in a trance of your voice.
I am enchanted by your charms.
Your touch is worth a million.
We kiss and I forget everything else.
All we need is each others touch.

"Your touch is worth a million"- the best line :)

Thanks Paco

You must know some saucy ladies. I need a stiff drink after reading that my friend! ;D

Great poem, but I want the next story - write a sequel )

I have upvoted this poem, for strategic reasons, but I liked the Shakesperian sonnet better, especially the last couplet: "Thought maybe with the summers ending, My pond of minnow fish will be ascending!" Have a nice day! With rainbows when it´s slowly raining (no cats and dogs).

Shakespearean, ah that spelling of mine (English not my mother tongue)

Thanks, what is it that not caught on in this one for you? The rhytm, the metaphors?

Just upvoted :)

Thanks!

That's wonderful man, I wrote a poem once as a teen and it made it into a poetry collection book...I should find it. Thanks for sharing, I love it!

I think the more artistic content the better man!

The last two lines got me, excellent poem!

Thanks!

Nice poem. I love the Egyptians, some of the most breathtaking architecture and culture ever. I have a cousin who has spent a hell of a LOT of money of genuine Egyptian artifacts, he has them all displayed in his house in 360o glass cabinets. He can spend hours talking about it. He even goes over to Egypt to secure the artifacts directly every now and then and smuggles them back.

Sounds like a lot mate! Maybe you can make a nice post on his collection!

I would rather get him to sign up and make one himself. I would not be able to do it justice at all.

@serejandmyself, you've got a creative mind. Hope you can manage to keep up the tempo! Anyway, the work of your hands will make a way for you. Keep steeming! You can have a look at my work too @ https://steemit.com/poetry/@delphia16/procrastination-original-work

Nicely done.
