                                         The state language is Bangla

On this day in 1952, some youths blew their blood in Dhaka demanding that one of the state's state languages be made Pakistan. That day is remembered with respect. The school is closed. People of all ages walk with flowers in the morning with black badges and walk in the Shaheed Minar to pay homage to the memorial of the martyrs. With 12 markets, the head of Bangladesh's headquarters and the head of government, paid floral wreath at the Shaheed Minar.

We now say 'Language Martyrs' That is, those who gave life to the dignity of mother language. It is not saying that the liberation war of Bangladesh is an unforgettable event in our recent history of this region. We were free in the seventy-two years.

We hear more names of five martyrs: Salam, Barkat, Rafiq, Jabbar and Shafiur. Among them, Barkat and Jabbar were students of Dhaka University. Rafiq was the son of the owner of Badamtali Commercial Press. Three of them were killed on 21st. The next day, on February 22, rickshaw puller Salam and High Court employee Shafiur died in police firing.
