The Crazy House otherwise known as Hang Nga guesthouse was build in the early 90s as a personal project. It seemed to me that much care and exercise of creativity went into such a project and that this was probably due to the fact so much freedom could be exercised in a personal project.
The responsible architect here was Dang Viet Nga, a local talent has studied abroad and come back to Vietnam to develop a work of art and wonder. She was the daughter of Truong Chinh, a famous political figure in Vietnam.
Some very interesting architecture. You can really see the personal creativity in it.
