While researching the history of circumcision, I came across this term. I recently learned of my jewish ancestry and came across some interesting things. The best thing about this is I now have free passage to talk about the truth. I've bitten my tongue on fear of the name-calling game tactic. I'm more suited to be a self-hating-jew being called an antisemite)...It has a nobler ring to it, I think (nanny-nanny-boo-boo:). Most times these are horseshit claims, as facts are facts...(not opinions) and therefore do not contain emotions. Truth can't be Hate and everyone who perpetuates this myth should consider taking a closer look at what those "labeled" have to teach us. "Antisemitic" is as old and worn out as the term "conspiracy theorist" When the media uses these terms, take a closer look. I have learned amazing things from taking that advice.
So anyway, The Karaite jews did not traditionally circumcise their children and you were jewish through the father's line. I have ancestry of both this....the other. The Jewish question is curious. Is it a race or a religion? Different genes are passed through the Y chromosomes only. Same is true with the mothers mtDNA, so it's interesting to see both traditions were practiced by different peoples. I have often seen the Karaites been called heretics. Another name-calling red flag, to me. I have a theory of what this could be about...but, who really knows? As my brother said best..."Which Witch is Witch?"

The term Apostia refers to a condition where boys are born without foreskin. (Allegedly) the biblical Moses, Jacob and David were born this way, which suggests it's a genetic trait. I am no scholar and don't have too much faith in what we've been told...but, that's the claim. A "royal" gene. Apparently, It also can occur through generational inbreeding. The Royal Families history of this is no secret to anyone. It's a fascinating thought and draws lots of questions.
Could there be a relationship to this condition...and the Bris? I have seen early depictions with Egyptian hieroglyphs that hardly appear to be hebrew. Could the logic of circumsizion be to mimic so-called "royalty"?...Or perhaps it served more as a protection purpose...to allow those with this condition to blend in with everyone else in the village/town? Could there have been a religious infiltration and distortion of judaism that the Karaites did not encounter, therefore not exposed to such an unusual "tradition"? I'm just thinking...If you were a family with diabolical intentions of inter-generational conspiring, through deception...Perhaps an inherited trait (such as apostia) would be a liability...if the word got out.
An interesting side note: Mr. founder of John Harvey Kellogg's (as-in the cereal)...Launched a huge circumcision campaign in 1888. An unusual cause to feel so passionate about, wouldn't you say? Purhaps it really about "docking" the sheep, as some suggest. Oy vey...... C'est la vive
