Once upon a time it was a cold and silent rainy night with a fierce winter. The weather was cold. There was a group of monkeys on a tree in a forest. They were clinging to its branches. One of the monkeys said, “I wish we could find some fire. It will help keep us warm."
Suddenly he saw a swarm of fireflies. One of the young monkeys thought it was fire. He caught a firefly. He put it under a dry leaf and started flying on it. Some other monkeys also joined in their efforts.
Meanwhile a sparrow came flying near to its nest, which was on the same tree on which the monkeys were sitting. He saw what they were doing. The sparrow laughed. He said, “You silly monkeys, those are fireflies, not real fire. I think you all should take shelter in a cave, even if you have hands and feet, you can build your own house to avoid cold and rain.
The monkeys did not listen to the sparrow, and they continued to catch the firefly.
After some time the monkeys got very tired. Now he realized that what the sparrow had said was right. He freed the firefly, and angrily came to the sparrow's nest and destroyed their nest and went to the cave saying that you have only this much knowledge, then build your new house again, we need your knowledge. It is not.
Education from the story :- We get the same lesson from this story that sometimes giving knowledge to a fool is to buy trouble for oneself, therefore one must think twice before speaking good words to a fool.
