Armaddeus had hurriedly supervised the saddling up of tiara's horse.he fitted a frond knitted basket on the horse's saddlebag,and then gently tucked the babies inside it. ''you know i don't think we really have to leave like this....we can stay back and fight off the wolves then leave together.what about lily?''asked armaddeus his face radiating the looks of a worried husband. Lily in her weeping state,had kept her back turned on armad&tiara,she held two medallions in her hands and was enchanting some spells on it. After some few minutes she was done, now she turned around to face the duo who has been eagerly waiting for her. ''tiara take these medallions you already know what to do with it....and armad don't worry about me i will stay back and delay the wolves'' said lily as she moved close to armad and planted a kiss on him amidst tears. Tiara patted her horse neck eager to set off. Immediately armaddeus broke the kiss, he turned to tiara his once pale face beaming with smiles ''let us mount and be on our way to the path of no paths'' ''yes, to the path of no paths'' echoed tiara. Leaving by the short wooden gate of their house,the duo took the road that led due south, lily watched them move off into the distance. ''I hope they make it on time'' she murmured to herself.she then turned and went back into the house she knew the wolves were coming and she needed to be ready. Armad and tiara, galloping side by side also spoke about making it on time. They passed through the village market bustling with noisy traders,throngs of people,cocks crowing,dogs barking,commodities stocked in arrays and children running around. ''its very funny seeing these people who were once enemies trading together in one place,i hope it lasts'' said lily '' yeah i hope so'' armad replied as both of them slowly made their way through the crowd. Back at the house lily went about doing her household chores as if all was well. She was enchanting some spells that made the house to start cleaning itself ''fio'' she said in the ancient tongues and watched in excitement as the whole place turned clean' then she heard the front door creak and she sensed that the wolves has arrived. She slowly made her way to the door,when she got there she found nothing outside. Still curious,she further went out to the passage the only sign that something was wrong was the uncanny silence. As she tried to climb down the wooden stairs she missed a step and fell face down on the ground. On getting her face up she was already surrounded by wolves who were now snarling at her,they acted as if they were waiting for an order to devour poor lily. A deep voice broke in ''hey take it easy boys,thats no good way to greet a friend'' the voice sounded familiar lily thought. Immediately the wolves slowly retreated and went to the back of the speaker. ''Kane?!!!!...... I knew visha would be sending people what i didnt't know was that it would be you of all people'' lily said to the male figure that extended his hands towards her. ''you look so fresh and strong for a woman that just gave birth to twins'' kane said as lily took his hands and stood to her feet. ''if its my babies you came for am sorry to disappoint you kane,you are leaving here without them'' lily said trying to wave off the fear that was encroaching her. ''you know its funny lily....you were wise enough to block their scents,even the horse footprints,but you didnt run what was your plans huh throw some fireballs at us.......'' kane said with a grin as he maintained his composure. ''haahhahha whats funny its that visha sent a bunch of impotent dogs to apprehend me and my babies''lily replied with a fake mocking laugh. She knew that she didnt choose the right words and was now backing off from where kane stood his eyes blazing red with fury. ''you know i wanted to help you out as a friend but since you don't prefer the easy way,you live me with no choice''yelled kane as he slowly started to turn. Lily knew that the battle was on, immediately she hurled series of fireballs at the other wolves who were speedily coming close to her. Luckily she didn't miss as the wolves came crashing at the gate ''now unleash your wolf kane''she challenged kane who was still transforming. ''come on im waiting.....'' Lily closed her eyes,trying to focus her energy on whats coming for her. Then suddenly she heard a very loud roar which forced her eyes to open, her eyes widened the more when she saw the 8ft figure that stood in front of her. ''a bearwolf'' she muttered to herself amidst shocks. Immediately the bearwolf charged towards lily who immediately took to her heels, she ran inside the house and sealed the door with a sealing spell,but that wasnt strong enough to resist the wolves sharp claws that ripped the wooden door apart.she had to stand her ground ''Adde me invisibilia''she screamed And immediately she vanished,and that left the enraged wolf puzzled. Lily knew that she's running out of energy and cant hold the invisibility spell together with the cover up spell for long and that got her troubled. But there was a more bigger problem '''ARH-whoooooooooooooo''one of the wolves howled ''that wasnt any howl'' lily thought in her invisible state. Immediately kane still in his wolf form left the room and made way to the sound of the howl.
