I had similar experiences as well. I started writing poems when I broke up with my girlfriend so writing became a medium to channel those feelings from my head. I didn't know how people wrote poems either but when I started writing, the words just kept on flowing. Glad to see another poet here, looking forward to your next post!

    oh that is so true. I personally write so much better when I'm depressed
