The Story of Kadi the unfortunate princess

The sex of a child has entirely nothing to do with the child but the opposite was the case of kadi. Been born into a Royal African home was the only sin she committed and that was the reason she suffered almost all through her life. She is just 19 but she has spent the most of her years working and suffering in her fathers house as an outcast
She was beautiful, smart, intelligent, average height, dark in completion but amidst all her qualities, she has never known what parental love was all about. If she had it in her powers, she would have chosen to be born in a family that would have loved and cherished her, even if it means been born in a poor home, but like most humans, life has never been fair to anyone.
Been the only child of a royal family, one would have thought that she would be treated and raised as a princess, but that isn’t possible because SHE IS A GIRL. Her problems started the day she was born. Her parents been royalty, was in need of a male child, but Kadi came and after she did, her mum had complications during child birth and she could no longer be pregnant. When the palace chief priest was consulted, he told the parents that Kadi was a CURSE and she is the reason for her mums infertility.
After that day, her parent, especially her mum hated her with utmost passion because her marital home is threatened by her infertility. At age 5, she was sent to her grand mum so she could take care of her and raise her. Fortunately, her grand mum was a very wonderful woman, so Kadi was raised and trained to be a very good and hardworking young girl. But at age 17, all her break loosed when her grand mum died. She came back to her parent and from then on, her life took a new turn.
Kadi, Kadi, Kadi!!!!!!!. Her mum yelled, but she was fast asleep. She had worked all day into the night. So she decided to take a nap but she slept real deep. Whoosh, was the sound of cold water poured on her by her mum. As she stood up from the floor to explain, she received a thunderous slap even before a word could form in her mouth. That night, she received the beating of her life just because she didn’t answer her mum when she called her.
The next day she thought about ending her life, frustrated and tired, she decided to commit suicide. After her morning chores, she went to get some poisonous concoctions from the palace chief priest. After dinner she went into her room to take the concoctions and end her life. Suddenly, she heard a loud bang on her door and her best friends voice calling her name to open the door. She reluctantly did and her friend Amara rushed in breathing heavily, Kadi was still staring at her and waiting for her to deliver her message and go so that she can continue with her suicide mission.What help do you want? asked Amara. Kadi was stunned because she has never discussed her life`s issues with Amara. Then Amara said last night, she dreamt of Kadi calling out to her for help while she drowned in a large river. That Kadi said she needed her help urgently. So she decided to rush down to her house to find out what was happening to Kadi. Stunned and dumbfounded, Kadi broke down in tears crying.
She then told Amara everything that has happened to her since and she showed Amara she concoction she bought. Amara immediately disposed the concoctions and wiped her eyes with her clothes. Amara cleaned her up and gave her words of encouragement that no one has ever given her. Kadi got back on her feet and she decided never to take her own life again no matter what she would ever face. While all these happened her mum had some stomach upset during the early hours of the day. When it dawned both parents went to see a doctor and after various consultations, she was certified pregnant. Then all her broke loosed for kadi. Her problem just took a different and higher level. Her mum vowed to make the home a living hell for her as a result of her pregnancy.
