The sunset picture was taken coming down from the snowy peak called "Nevado Santa Isabel" in the Colombian Andes. The day started very early in Pereira, we had to do 3 hours by car to access the National Park where the mountain is located. An abundant "campesino" breakfast gave us the force for the 4-hour hiking (round-trip), going from 4000 m to 4800 m (around 16 000 ft). We walked just to the glacier but we didn't go to the summit (which was not very visible that day). To do so, you need to go during the night and have special equipment.
On the way back to the city we enjoyed the beautiful landscape with clouds below and above us! And adding to that, the guide-driver stopped every single time for us to take pictures :-)
