Have fun to talk with others.

Conversations may not be great sometimes even if the topic is good and the speakers know each other very well. Why is that? Basically, conversations lose their color because of some faults by the speakers. On the other hand, some conversations are full of life and very much enjoyable to the speakers even if the topic is not so good and the speakers are newly known. It happens for some strategies followed by the speakers intentionally or unintentionally.

There are two strategies that are most important to have a great conversation-

Show interest in the other people: if you have ever been a part of a conversation where the other person continuously talks about something on which you don't have any interest, you'll understand how disgusting it is to be a part of this kind of conversation.

The first and foremost condition for a good conversation to start is to show an interest in the other person, his life, and his interests and so on. Most people have the tendency to talk about themselves. If you just keep listening to them and ask about something they love to talk on, they will be more than happy and the conversation must have a color in it. And thus your conversation becomes a great one.

Once Dale Carnegie went to a party and talked to a lady who had the same tendency. In the whole conversation, Carnegie just said yes and no. but after the conversation, the lady complemented Carnegie as a great speaker while he just made some minor responses and smile.

Be an active listener: Most of us think about what to say next while the other person is talking. This doesn't let you listen to the other person and thus the conversation cannot be continued happily as you won't have any response to the guy when he stops to talk. So, try to be an active listener. Listen to him carefully. Even if you don't need to tell a single word, the conversation will remain great.

There are more strategies that you can follow to have a great conversation. But these two are the fundamental ones.

This is simply engaging yourself in the conversation. When you are a good and active listener with some interest if not in the individual then in the topic, then You are good to go
