Hello Steemians!
I'm an amateur runner and cyclist, who's decided to take my training to the next level.
My long-term goals are to participate in cycling road races, ultra-marathons, and complete an Ironman Triathlon during 2019. In the mean time, I've been working on improving my fitness, dropping weight, & recovering from a couple of nagging injuries that have slowed me down over the last couple months.
Approximately 5 years ago, I was a competitive cyclist in central Florida capible of making most local podiums, but I've never been a great runner. In April of this year, I sustained a Jones fracture in my left foot, which I re-broke again in June. I've just recently been able to train on the roads without pain and it feels great!
This helps explain why my running times have been more like "walking" splits lately. lol
I use the fitness app, Strava to map both my runs & rides.
