Okay folks, this just to say that I'm currently on track towards streaming tonight from 21:00 hours UK time. I have a few things that I need to do beforehand, so I'll make the rest of this relatively quick.
Anyway, I haven't yet done anything with regards to repairing the Cybiko classic, but before I go ahead with filming it, I do need to see if I actually have the best camera for the job, as although I could use my oldest HD camcorder (which is still quite reliable), I also purchased a cheaper, newer HD camera that has a microphone that I can mount that may be better for this sort of work, as opposed to the regular way that I could do it.
That said, I do think that having a microphone for my old HD camcorder would be a good idea, but equally, I do want to test out the video and quality with both. I actually have a third HD camcorder that I bought (with no mic mount), but I bought that primarily as a cheaper camcorder to bring out into the field, rather than risking my old HD camcorder, as it was a more expensive purchase at the time, and also a named brand, so I'd rather stick with something cheaper to replace when out and about!
Anyway, that's it for now, just thought I'd give you all an update on streaming, and also the filming of the Cybiko Classic repair; I only get one shot at doing the video for the most part, so I want to make sure that it's a good one! If the sound turns out to be too crappy though, I'll replace it with a voiceover, although hopefully, it won't come down to that, because I was ideally hoping to do it in a single take and unedited, quick and dirty as it were, as I feel that I should, in theory, be able to do a decent job at doing an on the fly production with this, as it's a relatively simple procedure. I also want to give my "Stormkeeper at Geeked Up" YouTube channel some more attention too (though it'll be going on DTube around the same time, possibly Twitch as well, for exposure)!
In any case, that's pretty much it for now... I'll make an announcement regarding the stream proper between 20:45 and 20:50 UK time, but in case you forgot, we'll be playing some Barony followed by continuing our Shadowrun Returns session!
