This is one of the most famous poems of the Russian poet Alexander Blok "Night, street and streetlight, drugstore". It was written in October 1912. And this fence is located on Dekabristov Street, approximately midway between the last apartment of Alexander Blok (in this apartment is a museum) and the drugstore, which is described in this poem. At least, the majority of researchers of Blok's creativity believe that Blok wrote about the drugstore near the Theater Square. It still works. But there is another theory that the drugstore from the poem was located on the Petrograd side, near the Bolshoi Krestovsky bridge through Malaya Nevka river.

Я пару лет назад перечитал эту поэму. восприятие совсем не такое как было в школе. Даже смысл совсем иной, что нам давали.

Чему там пытались учить на литературе я даже не помню:)

Революционному шагу.
