They once lived and scavenged everyday food in the streets. They were once pickpockets; rugby, shabu, and marijuana addicts. And the only future that they saw for themselves was to become drug lords.
They hated their parents who abandoned them and the people who ignored them in the streets. They hated families who walked by them, happy. Because they were not happy. Because they did not have their own families who could have taken cared of them and protected them. In spite of it all, they fought for survival. They did crimes no young person should ever be subjected to just to survive.
Yet, here they are. Changed or fighting to change. With the Cebu City Government's advocacy to fight drugs, Cebu City Community Scout Youth Guidance Center was hence built to care, reform, and educate these kids; to give them hope and a future away from drugs and destruction.
For the opening of the school year this June 2018, Cebu Government is needing school supplies for these kids. Let's help making the world a better place for these kids. 💕
