Venice Beach, California is known for many things including strange street names like Ozone, artists, culture, musicians, shops, street performers, fortune tellers, surfers, basketball, skateboarders, muscle beach (Gold’s Gym, Arnold), gangs, canals and unfortunately many homeless. And of course many street signs and parking tickets.
One thing that is also unique to Venice Beach is that it’s known as the Mural Capital of the World with hundreds throughout the city. (a future blog project)
Here is one of the first murals you see as you leave Santa Monica. The mural is on Ozone Ave and Speedway, which becomes a homeless tent camp at night.
I see we are branching out of sunsets, good to see. yes, let's explore Venice and its murals! there is a lot more than that wings everyone takes pics of.
