Awesome Shows...

One of the hardest things about explaining shows in Provincetown is explaining both the unfamiliar and familiar at the same time. We all have some shows we love... those performers that we enjoy going to for the 10th, 20th, or more time... and then, the excitement of the brand new. Miss Ritchfield is a show that started at The Crown and Anchor a gazillion years ago and has continued forever. Taking our girls, as youngsters, it's hard to explain to some how welcomed they were at drag shows, and some adult performances. Maybe being in theater ourselves, we had an in into the lifestyle and community? Still, seems easy... Be Good to each other.

Now, my kids are comfortable in their own bodies, and selves, and accepting of all lifestyles and I truly believe it was they way we treated all around us growing up. I simply do not understand how hard this is for everyone? How hard is it to be nice? How hard is it to treat others like you, yourself would like to be treated? I know each of the world's Good Book has parts that explain about treating each other...
