Still shooting - feedback request

in streetphotography •  6 years ago

I have not posted for a little while. Life has been busy and I have been applying my time elsewhere. However I have still been shooting on the street.

I have also lately been super critical of my own work and struggling to find anything I want to share. However I re-visited my folder of maybe's and found these two that I have posted to Flcikr to see what reaction I might get.

Thought I might post them here also and ask for feedback. what do you think? are these keepers or throw aways?

I like the hand in this one and the almost abstract feel of the colours, shapes and reflections - it is growing on me.

I like the facial expression here but not sure if that is enough to make this an interesting image.

So are these good images and people just have not responded or should I forget them? Feel I am in a bit of a lull, perhaps that is making me not like my own images.

I personally like the first one, but don't know exactly why. Maybe is how everyone is looking somewhere else, without knowing who they could be because I can't see their faces, but at the same time I can sense who they are by the little details like clothing or what they are holding.

Thank you very much. You have managed to express what I was thinking, but I was not sure if it had come together that way.
