The last thing I expected to see in Yangon Myanmar was a Quiksilver store. This is a surfwear brand very popular in California where I used to live. You can see pro-surfer Kelly Slater depicted over the window. I am a swimmer and a surfing fan, and recognized all of this with a shock on the way to the airport.
The people I saw in Yangon were generally dressed in their formal and traditional clothing, and there did not seem to be many tourists in town. There is a river, but no beach nearby. I am not sure who would be buying these clothes. One more mystery from the wonderful city of Yangon that has captured my heart.

I’m grateful I lost half my size and only sorry it took me until I was 50 years old to figure it out. It’s been over seven years now since I had to worry about my weight. What a relief this is .

I love the Quiksilver clothes, it hurts that I live in a country with the biggest hyperinflation in the world and a simple Quiksilver shirt costs a lot of money, I hope someday to be able to buy a shirt of this brand.

I honestly do not know. I was taking photos from the taxi to the airport and was so surprised to see this as we passed. But we did not stop. These clothes are expensive in the USA. But I am a cheap shopper :)
