Playing Cards in Rishikesh - Street Photography Friday

This photo is my entry to the #streetphotography contest today, hosted by @juliank.

I stumbled across these guys playing cards while wandering around Rishikesh in India - 'the gateway to the Ganges'. I'd spent a week practising yoga, water rafting down the Ganga river and just generally eating as much delicious curry as I could find. If you haven't visited Rishikesh, it's well worth a trip and really is the yoga capital of the world. Hop on a bus from New Delhi for about 6 hours and you'll find yourself in the tranquil, spiritual heaven that is Rishikesh. The Beatles put this place on the Western map during their trip to an ashram in the 60s and since then, Rishikesh has been a real tourist hit. Set in a forested valley with the Ganges running through the centre and an abundance of yoga and meditation, you can't really go wrong.
