Major Road through an Urban Jungle of Greenery … Singapore – Street Photography

Yes, believe it or not, this is an entry in the Street Photography contest.

When is an urban jungle really a jungle?

This does not look like a street. But that’s because Singapore does not look like a typical city. It’s one of the greenest cities on the planet.    

The road seen here (well, hardly seen, as it is hidden amidst the trees, bushes, and other greenery) … this 4-lane road is one of the major arteries cutting across the city’s Southern Ridges. The ridges themselves feature a massive parkland that stretches for 5 kilometers across the city. (I’ve forgotten exactly which road this is, but it might be Henderson Road.) 

Good for driving, great for living

This scene provides a clear and accurate impression of Singapore. The road system is excellent, the traffic runs smoothly, and the environment is kept extra-clean and beautiful by the excessively luxuriant foliage.     Location – Singapore’s Southern Ridges, on Google Maps
