When I went to Japan, we arrived at a saturday night. Our hotel was at Ochanomizu, so we walked there from Akihabara. As it turned out, every weekend is an Itasha meeting, so we saw a lot of them. Itasha (痛車) is a car, which is decorated by the owner's favourite anime/manga/video game characters. The term itself means 'painful car' (as it's painful for the wallet) and also a pun on 'Italian car'.
