The morning after Christmas I drove up to the Griffith Observatory to watch the sunrise. Plenty of other people had the same idea. Most of the others up there had the same idea I did: come armed with a camera and take as many photos as possible. But these two just came up there to enjoy the view and a beautiful morning together. It was very lovely to see.

Very nice photograph and I like the moment you captured there. I think that is the beauty with photography to freeze time and share that one moment. I also lake photos taken of people that are not aware and that are in the moment, it is more powerful that way

Yeah I totally agree. I'm still not totally comfortable with taking photos of strangers but I love taking completely natural photos of friends when they aren't aware of the camera. They make better photos.

I honestly prefer the shot for them being in it, I’d pretty much stopped taking photos of sunsets a while back because I figured there are so many incredible sunset photos online that there was little point. Sometimes it’s nice just to be present instead, it’s amazing how often I look through photos and see everything I missed, almost like I forgot to actually live the moment when it happened

Yeah I agree, you have to just enjoy the moment sometimes. But in this case, this view is 10 minutes from my loft so I can enjoy it anytime I like. This specific day was for photos!
