For this week's #streetphotography contest, hosted by @juliank i'm throwing it back to a shot I took a couple of weeks ago in London Fields, Hackney.
If you visited Hackney 10 years ago, the place was a dive, as was much of East London. But in the last decade a lot of money and effort has been ploughed into the development of these areas, making them some of the quirkiest areas in the city - flooded with small and unusual cafes, bars, lanes and art.
Frida is popping up everywhere and rightly so!
I really appreciate visually exciting street art, as opposed to some of the standard graffiti you see all over the city.

Ohh what a beautiful work of art of my dearest Frida Kahlo. What an honor as a half-Mexican to see that! I've been to the Frida Kahlo Museum where she used to live with Diego Rivera her husband in Mexico City, it's incredible! Good luck in the contest ;)
