I find that people are more afraid to take that first step. Some people are just like this Potts guy, but unlike him, even if we are buried under a mountain of debt and we know that there's little to look forward to in life, we are so used to the familiarity of what we do every day that we just never take the risk.
And it's worse when you doubt. When you've been told that there are others who will always be better than you, when you're told not to waste your time and to just stick with what you know.
I feel sad knowing that I may have squandered millions of chances to become a better person because a tiny but persistent voice inside my head keeps telling me that "You Can't".
I'd say to surround yourself with friends, make sure that you stay positive and even though you think you may be good at something, to never take it for granted. Even if you're good, you can still improve.
And last but not least, we should seize the day, despite of what might happen if we fail because, Hey. Life is too short to regret.
