They have now started drinking beer instead of local liquor. And the women are drinking beer openly beer even they can murder people just because of beer. This sounds terribly strange but this is really happening in this village.To drink a special kind of wine called ‘Taadi’ is a ritual in tribal people. It’s common among tribal people to drink taadi or alcohol made out of mahua and do dance after completing the daily routine work.In their culture, women also drink taadi and nobody assumes it wrong. But with the increasing of contacts of tribal people to cities, they started drinking local liquors along with taadi.And from last 2 to 3 years tribal people of Jhaabua, Dhaar and Alirajpur are started liking beer instead of local liquor. Now these people have become so much addicted with beer that the consumption of beer in these villages has increased more than the city like Indor.In these villages, you can easily see women standing out of beer shops and sometimes you will find tribal women drinking beer directly with beer bottles especially on Alirajpur.Now it’s hard to believe that people even murder other people just for a bottle of beer. Recently, in Sorva village a person murdered his friend with arrow just because his friend did not invited him for the beer party. Now that’s really insane.According to a study conducted by MP police, 35% of murders in these villages have been done just for the reason of getting drunk.
