What it's really like

Now I don't know if I haven't gotten to use to everything yet or if this is what I'm going to feel for the next 3 years. I thought being at uni would make me exempt to all of the things going on at home, but I was completely wrong. Many people are able to put things to the back of their minds whilst they are getting on with something however, I am not that type of person. Things will bug me and stay in my mind for ages, I wanted to get away from all of the stuff at home so I would be able to focus on my degree. I know I probably sound selfish but my brother was quite lucky as he left for uni as things started to kick off. I have a few coping mechanisms to help me when I do get overwhelmed with work and everything but sometimes it's good to be able to just relax.
One thing that I really miss whilst living in halls is that we don't have a bath. I love to have baths as they help my back when I'm in pain, they help me to relax as well and I can just drift away for an hour or so. I will also bury myself into my work as well and just cram everything. Whilst this is good to be able to get things done, it is also quite bad as I will do it for hours on end without a break. People have different ways of coping with things, which is what makes us all so different and unique.
