The Purgatory That Is Midterms

in stress •  6 years ago

It's that time of the semester, where things are chaotic. Unlike Final Exams, where the whole of the campus stops any and all things extraneous so that we can focus solidly on a week of tests, life during Midterms still continues; so as we are preparing for a test in one class, we are still forging onward in that same class. And the other classes continue about as well, although admittedly there is some regard as to pacing and spacing of our Midterms. That doesn't stop the stress from getting to us, and keep me from doing the things I would rather be doing - such as posting here.

Granted, yes, I am enjoying being a student again, and the seminary tends to be a great place to learn and study, particularly this one... It just stinks when the stress levels are through the roof. And having been sick for all those weeks took its toll on me. Easter break is not for another 6 weeks or so, and even then, Holy Week (Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday) is not really a vacation, since there are liturgies and whatnot. However, it is a welcome break from the rigors of academia and it serves as a great reminder as to why we are seminarians in the first place. And we do get Easter week (aka "the week after Easter Sunday") off, so there will be a time for resting. Just about 2 months from now...

I'll try to keep posting as the work piles up, and hopefully with more substance.
