The first in a series of music videos presenting music from guitarist Jeff Foster's 1992 CD, 'Midnight In Zagreb' (commemorating the hard-won independence of the sovereign nation of Croatia), this is an audio/visual collaboration between Foster and videographer Marko Vrdoljak of Zagreb, Croatia.
The video features the lead track of Foster's CD, 'Memories Of Zagreb', coupled with video selections from Vrdoljak's 2012 award-winning short film, 'Pulse Of The City', plus various still photos of Zagreb. The film was beautifully edited by Dražen Zelković.
Most of the music on 'Midnight In Zagreb' (also released under its Croatian title, Ponoć u Zagrebu, pronounced “poh-noach uu za-greb-uu”) was written during Foster's three-month tour of Croatia in 1988, or subsequently inspired by the trip.
Jeff Foster created all the music on 'Midnight In Zagreb' (including bass, drums, strings, pianos, sound effects, etc) in his home studio, utilizing classic, acoustic and electric guitars, plus MIDI-guitar technology and computer-based sequencing. No keyboards were used. The primary nylon-string guitar is a custom hybrid flamenco/classical instrument commissioned by Foster during his trip to Croatia, built by luthier Vlado Proskjurniak.
