Stu Ungar Highs & Lows (How He Still Inspires Me)
One of the greatest poker players to ever play the game Stu Ungar.
Many of you all don't know how much poker has influenced my life and have me on the path i'm currently on and I would like to share with you a poker player that inspired me.
I want to let Wikipedia give a brief rundown of the legend Stu Ungar.
Stuart Errol Ungar (September 8, 1953 – November 22, 1998) was a professional poker, blackjack, and gin rummy player, widely regarded to have been the greatest Texas hold 'em and gin player of all time.
He is one of two people in poker history to have won the World Series of Poker Main Event three times (Johnny Moss also has three WSOP titles but his first was obtained by a vote of the players, not by winning a tournament). He is also the only person to win Amarillo Slim's Super Bowl of Poker three times, the world's second most prestigious poker title during its time.[3] He is one of four players in poker history to win consecutive titles in the WSOP Main Event, along with Johnny Moss, Doyle Brunson. and Johnny Chan.

Although his loss of life changed into not attributed to a drug overdose, it turned into believed to be the end result of heart failure that changed into hastened by years of drug abuse.
He died in 1998 in a resort room on the Oasis Motel with $800 in his ownership, the the rest of a $25,000 mortgage advanced to him with the aid of Billy Baxter, most of the people of which Ungar was said to have misplaced in excessive stakes poker games at the newly opened Bellagio.
One of a Kind
The details of Ungar's life, card prowess, eccentricities and eventual demise were chronicled in a 2005 book by Peter Alson and Nolan Dalla entitled One of a Kind: The Rise and Fall of Stuey "The Kid" Ungar, the World's Greatest Poker Player.

My Final Thoughts
Stu Ungar had so many trials and tribulations throughout his life not just poker everything and when I tell you I can relate please trust my words " I can". Watching all the footage I could find on his game theory and watching his movements/mannerism at the table helped me evolve tremendously. Many other players inspire me to name a few, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, twan lee, Nam Le and some names i'm certain you don't know of. Stu Ungar is the definition of highs and lows, that's exactly the definition of my life!
