he 2024 anti-quota student movement in Bangladesh has been characterized as a complex and intense social and political event. The student movement began mainly against the quota system in government jobs, where a 30 percent quota was reserved for children of brave freedom fighters.

The movement led to massive protests and clashes across the country, resulting in many deaths and injuries.

The movement's leaders demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the resignation of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, who they believed were responsible for the violent attacks on the protesters.

At one stage of the movement, curfews and internet blackouts were imposed across the country, disrupting the lives of ordinary people and the country's economy.

The agitators rejected the offer of dialogue with Prime Minister Hasina and demanded her resignation.

Although the agitation led to some changes in the government, the students vowed to continue the agitation until their full demands were met. As a result, there is an unstable situation in the country.
