Tucked into the debt ceiling bill was an end to the student loan repayment pause at the end of August. The provision doesn't really change things- the Admin was set to end the repayment pause by the end of August at the latest anyways. But this makes it so the DoE can't extend the pause if the Supreme Court rules against the loan forgiveness. That decision is expected at some point this month or next month.
Nice little poison pill by Republicans.
