Ten Study Tips for Nervous & Anxious People

1 Have a flexible study plan

Creating a study schedule or plan is an important step to take while studying. The schedule varies from person to person. Some people like to have strict plans, which is not a bad thing however it can cause additional stress. Accidentally missing a scheduled study session is not the end of the world. Sometimes unexpected things happen, you get busy with something else or you simply forget. You do need to catch up but at a pace that works for you. Do not stress yourself if the plan gets messed up. Breathe and create a study plan that works for you.

2 Read the question first

This may not work for everyone but I find that it takes away some of the stress. When you get long questions like a passage or a graph. Read the Question you have to answer first. While reading the passage, you might feel at ease because you know what the questions are going to be like.

3 Ask Questions

This speaks for itself. Ask the teacher questions, ask google questions, ask yourself questions, just ask questions. The questions building up inside your head may cause stress, it is okay to ask them. You will have your questions answered and it may end up getting you an extra point on the test.

4 DO NOT study the day of the test

I am completely guilty of this. An hour before the test I cram information I believe I don't know well enough into my head and end up remembering nothing I read. It may work for small quizzes and tests but not before the important tests. It causes additional stress and you may end up freaking yourself out if you come across something you don't remember at all.

5 Study in Advance

Study up to 2-3 months before the test, a few days before the test, review everything you learned.

6 Read the rules of the test carefully

Know how long it is going to be, know how many questions will be asked and the types of questions. Study the things you know are going to be important. Focus on the facts and prepare yourself for what the test is going to look like.

7 Build your trust in online websites

It is the time of technology and we can make it work in our favor. Find study websites that you like and keep on using it. There are is a variation of apps and websites and it is there to help you.
Here are a few that I would highly suggest.

9 TAKE BREAKS

Do not continue studying for hours, take a break and spend it wisely.

10 REMEMBER THIS QUOTE BY ALBERT EINSTEIN

"Everybody is a genius but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree,it will spend its whole life believing its stupid. "

You are not a grade. You are not a better person if you got a better grade and you are not any less of a person if you got a lower grade. You are a person with your own set of skills and your own way of experiencing things.
