Why Do I Keep Donating Steem/SBD to Magic Dice?

I know, I know. Provably fair. But it still makes you look up to the sky and ask,

Why God? Why didn't you tell me to stop while I was ahead?

I'll tell you why. Because he knows I wouldn't listen. In fact, every time I go back to do 'just one more bet' is when I lose everything that I I spent that last 30 minutes gaining. Usually in one fell swoop.

As you can see, I am down about 243 STEEM over the entire course of playing. I think that supposedly it would eventually even out at some point, but I don't it as I am a psychically unlucky person.

Psychically unlucky?

Of course this is just a label that I have given to myself after doing some interesting tests. There is this device called the Psychokinesis Ball Drop test. Essentially, it is a machine where balls are dropped into a device with pegs. The balls fall at random to the left or right, creating something of a bell shaped pattern naturally.

The idea is that you, the psychic subject, sit in front of the device as the balls are being dropped in, and try to influence which direction the balls will fall. For instance you might will them to the right, or to the left.

I had the opportunity about 15 years ago to play around with one of these devices with a friend. It turned out that after several trials, I was having a statistically small but significant effect on the balls. But here is the thing - the effect was negative. In other words, the more I willed them to the left, the more they went to the right, and vice versa.

There is an online version of this test if anyone wants to play with it. It's kind of fun, but frustrating for someone like me. haha! The funny thing is, I can't exploit or trick this weird negative luck in any way.

It knows. The wave function collapses.. or something.

Anyhow, if you want to find out how psychic you are, (or mental), check it out here. It's a good waste of time, but at least you won't be donating your hard earned Steem to Magic Dice. No offense guys.

The house always wins, so why not be the house? Try stopping the gambling and delegate to them.

I am with one of my other accounts as an experiment after being nosey and checking out one of my friends accounts in terms of delegation vs return.

Good idea. I think I will try that for a while and see how it goes!

Delegate your STEEM Power to Magic Dice to earn MAGIC tokens. For every 100 STEEM Power delegated, you will receive 100 MAGIC tokens per day. Delegation token rewards will start one day after your delegation. The distribution rate will be halved every time 10% of the tokens have been issued.

I delegated 100 SP, and got 100 tokens today. I'll see how it goes.. if it's not worth it I can always remove it.

I was once addicted to slots until the arcade owner I was in said flatly to me, 'you're using cash like its going out of fashion' after asking for change to do some more.

I deliberated that, walked out and have not gambled since. He said the wrong thing to me.. wrong for his business.

Yeah, I went ahead and dropped a large delegation last night. I will collect a bunch of tokens and see how it goes. I have 190k atm. Some people have millions!

I guess that arcade owner helped you out in the end.

Sir Magic dice is a scam, you will lose everything with its "provably fair" which meant it is not fair LOL, it is rigged to make the house win and players lose.

The peg ball drop is a BS because balls will fall near the point where they fell creating a pyramid pattern if you widen up the area where they land.

Right, the balls are all dropped in the middle going left or right; naturally creating a bell pattern. The experiment just tries to see if the 'mind' can have a statistical effect by causing the balls to go more one way or the other over time.

Of course it sounds like a bit of a joke and is probably BS, but that is what science is all about. Experimentation! No matter how bizarre the subject matter.

You have invested big amount.
And you still down 243.
By the way ,,i played but with only 2 or 3 steem.

lol! and then you cool off and go back because.. you, know.. you might win. Doh!

Haha, you can see the evidence of this in my wallet right now.

literally just this moment, I went over to magic dice and bet 5 SBD <90 and lost. I've never seen so many 95-99s in a row. omg!

I should have screenshot my 16 straight losses and printed it out and taped it to my monitor lol. Yea, 90% chance my ass. As you said probably fair but 16?!? 16 L’s in a row?!?

It is insane dude.. By the way, Like an idiot, after all of this I went back and did a <90 with like 30 steem and got all of today's losses back. That could have been bad!
