Huh. That is one way to look at it I suppose. I personally think self-voting is the fast road to exactly nowhere. Have you ran into the concept of "Steemit is a gift economy" yet? Google that phrase and the username @stellabelle if you have not, and read the amazing article that will be the #1 result. While you are certainly not alone in self-voting, neither am I alone in finding it a pretty distasteful thing to do. I can pretty much guarantee you that you will get farther, faster, by focusing on boosting other people up and letting your own success come naturally as people realize that you are awesome and giving. I hope this isn't coming off as too preachy. I like your vibe in the post and there is a STEEP learning curve here, that is for certain. Much love - Carl
Thanks very much @Carlgnash for the info - it is precisely the type of honest coaching I need. I will look into this @stellabelle since it is the 138th time someone has mentioned her to me.
She must be a-maze-zing to boast such a fan club. I will soon, perhaps, join the cheering crowd. haha
I hear you about the gift economy. Hey, I will do an experiment. It will be about the self upvotes, and doing the opposite. It is too late for this post, because I already gave myself a boost, but I will try it starting today at 4:30. Thanks for inspiring the idea! = )
Awesome nice to see your last post with no selfvote. I think that was a terrific response to my comment. Consequently, I have added you to one of my alt account's fanbase autovote, so you will be seeing @beelzebub and associated friends upvoting all of your future posts 25 minutes after they are published. @beelzebub and co do not currently equal your own selfvote but they are not insignificant, and they will grow in the days to come as I regularly use a portion of my @curie finder's fees to power up my delegation rentals on various alt accounts.
I would also like to extend an offer to you - the next time you post something that you think is really awesome, and original, and you are posting it here on Steem blockchain first (not posted elsewhere online) please reply to me here with the link and I will promote it through one or another of the various curation organizations I am a part of. Much love - Carl
Wow, thanks so much! I will for sure keep you in mind for my next super-duper awesome post. Oh, oops- by replying without a link to such a post am I breaking the first rule of the fight club? Haha I hope not! 🤓. This just made my morning better.
Nah the first rule of @carlgnash is there are no rules, right? I will try to keep an eye on your posting anyway but I may miss this hypothetical super-duper awesome possum post while it is still fresh, so dropping me a link in reply will make sure I see it and can promote it appropriately. I check my replies religiously :) Much love - Carl
I love it when you do this Sir, finding someone who seems promising and assisting them in any way you can. And yeah, I've asked the same question before and I kept on getting the same reply; "Focus more on building others and let your success come naturally." frankly, it seems like quite a lot to take in, but it just might be the truth. I'll try my best on here. Glad you could help her.
@Lorilikes
You so so right my dear.....that the words of a mirror ........yes i look beautiful ....appreciating self........promoting self so others will......thats what i do.......
But your steem power is like a NUCLEAR BOMB.....VERY FAT....LIKE A GLOBAL FART LOL
It is my own upvote lol !! I am a shameless self up-voter because if I don't promote me, why would anyone else?
